Safarihoek looks out over a waterhole on Etosha Heights, a large private reserve on the southwestern boundary of Etosha National Park. The country here is dry thornveld and rocky ridge, and the water is the only reason anything gathers.
Namibia's game is desert-adapted and often solitary, so this is a patient watch rather than a busy one.
