Introduction

Teleported TV is committed to protecting the privacy of the people who use it. This policy sets out what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.

What we measure

We count our audience with two tools. Cloudflare Web Analytics tells us how many people visit. Google Analytics tells us which cameras people watch and where visitors come from; it uses cookies and shares technical data such as your IP address with Google, under Google's privacy policy. We use both to make the user experience and catalog better.

When you press play

Streams play in the broadcaster's own embedded player, in its privacy-enhanced form. To deliver the video, its provider, Google, receives your IP address and technical details about your device, and may set storage in your browser once playback starts. Thumbnails are served from our own domain. The world map draws its tiles from OpenFreeMap. The weather beside a camera's clock comes through a relay on our own domain, so the weather services see the camera's coordinates and never you. Each of these providers applies its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

If you create an account

Accounts are optional: everything on Teleported TV is watchable without one. If you do sign in, we store your email address, the name your provider gives us, the date of your last sign-in, and the list of cams you saved. That is the whole of it: no password exists to steal, and we keep nothing we do not use.

Sign-in and that record are handled by Google Firebase, on servers in Europe. Choosing “Continue with Google” tells Google you signed in here; choosing the email link does not. While a sign-in link is in flight your browser holds the address you typed, and clears it as soon as you are in.

Your data is yours: write to privacy@teleported.tv and we will send you a copy of it, correct it, or delete the account and everything attached to it.

Your choices

Block third-party storage in your browser and everything except video playback keeps working: the catalog, the map, the search.
