Times Square Crossroads

Billboards, yellow cabs and the Broadway crowds on a 24/7 live webcam: the Crossroads of the World.

About this view

The Crossroads of the World, from a live cam high above the crowds. Times Square draws an estimated 300,000+ people through it on an average day, tourists, office workers, costumed characters and everyone else, beneath some of the most expensive advertising real estate on Earth.

The billboards never switch off, which makes this one of the few street cams that is genuinely spectacular at 4 am: empty pavement, full neon. Around 5–7 pm Eastern time the after-work wave rolls through, and weekend evenings pack the pedestrian plazas solid.

Mark the calendar for the marquee moments: the New Year's Eve ball drop above this very square is said to reach a billion viewers worldwide, and the camera sees the crowds start building from the morning of December 31st.
