Where the Tamsui River meets the Taiwan Strait, on the right bank of the river mouth, sits Fisherman's Wharf, and this live camera looks over it. The wharf was the town's second fishing port; its floating pier rises and falls with the tide and holds up to 150 boats, and the white cable-stayed Lover's Bridge arches over the harbour beside it.
Fishing boats come and go through the day, the ferries from Tamsui old street and Bali tie up at the pier, and by late afternoon the boardwalk fills with couples and families waiting for the sunset, which the wharf is famous for across Taiwan. After dark the bridge and the boats are lit.
