A slow view over the hills at Son Muntaner, in the Son Vida district just above Palma. The foreground is a golf course — fairways, pines and olive trees on terraced ground — but the reason to watch is what sits behind it: the dry green folds of inland Mallorca, and on clear days the Serra de Tramuntana, the UNESCO-listed range that runs the whole northwest coast of the island.
