Niagara Falls
Six million cubic feet of water a minute, evening illuminations included, on a Niagara Falls live webcam.
About this view
The Canadian panorama of Niagara: Horseshoe Falls thundering at full width, with the American Falls across the gorge, roughly 2,800 cubic metres of water per second, live around the clock.
The falls run a daily programme: sightseeing boats nosing into the spray in season (Maid of the Mist from the American dock, City Cruises from the Canadian), the nightly illumination painting the curtain in colour from dusk, and summer fireworks over the gorge on scheduled evenings.
Eastern time, UTC−5/−4. Sunrise backlights the mist; winter builds ice sculptures the size of buildings along the edges, a completely different, half-frozen spectacle worth a January visit to this feed. One more measure of scale: the mist column shows up on satellite imagery on clear days, and the river’s flow, partly diverted upstream through hydroelectric tunnels, powers millions of homes on both sides of the border.
