Earth in 4K from the ISS
A sunrise every 90 minutes from ultra-HD cameras on the ISS, a 4K live webcam in orbit.
Moving camera: its position on the map is approximate.
About this view
Ultra-HD cameras on the ISS stream Earth in genuine 4K, the sharpest continuous view of our planet available to the public. Coastlines, cloud fractals and the thin blue line of the atmosphere, in detail that rewards a big screen.
Every 45 minutes the light changes completely: orbital day pours colour across oceans and deserts, then the terminator sweeps in and cities come out as golden webs. Aurora passes, green curtains seen from above, are this feed's holy grail.
There is no bad time to open this live stream (UTC schedule, sunrise every 90 minutes), but the day-night line crossings are the appointment. This is the view of every place on Earth at once.
