Live Webcams in Space

Space, here, is the International Space Station: the live webcams in orbit look down from about 400 kilometres up, at 28,000 km/h, at the curve of the Earth, the weather systems, the city lights on the night side and the thin blue line of the atmosphere on the day side. The station circles the planet every 90 minutes, so there are sixteen sunrises a day and a full pass over any given coast takes a few minutes, and a dark screen is simply the night side of the planet, and daylight comes back. The station keeps Coordinated Universal Time, UTC, on board, so its clock is the one everyone else's is measured against. Six or seven people live up there at any time, and it has been continuously crewed since November 2000. No season, no weather: it is always live, and always somewhere else.
