ISS: Earth from Orbit

Official video from the International Space Station, a live webcam on our planet from 400 km up.

Moving camera: its position on the map is approximate.

About this view

NASA's official live feed from the International Space Station: external cameras looking down at Earth from roughly 400 kilometres, plus occasional interior views and mission audio when operations allow. The ultimate teleportation this site can offer.

The station orbits every 90 minutes, so the feed cycles through day, night, and the two most beautiful minutes in television, orbital sunrise and sunset, sixteen times a day. Continents, storms, and city lights at night scroll past at 28,000 km/h.

The crew works on UTC. During certain passes the feed shows dockings, spacewalks or Earth-observation targets; during signal gaps it displays a placeholder: the station is just between relay satellites, and the view returns in minutes.
