Starbase, Boca Chica
SpaceX's Starship site at Boca Chica, Texas, tanks, towers and test stands on a 24/7 live webcam.
About this view
Starbase is the SpaceX site at Boca Chica, near the mouth of the Rio Grande on the Texas coast, where the Starship and Super Heavy vehicles are built and tested, and this live cam has covered the work around the clock since 2021.
What is in frame changes with the programme: rocket sections moving on transporters, cranes stacking them, tanking tests, static fires, and the long stretches of welding and plumbing between them. The first full Starship left the pad here in April 2023, and every flight since has started in this picture. In 2025 the site's residents voted to make Starbase a city of its own, in Cameron County, with a population of a few hundred, most of them company employees.
The site keeps Central Time, UTC−6, UTC−5 in summer, and State Highway 4 runs out to it from Brownsville, some 20 miles west. Launch days close the road and fill the beach with spectators; the rest of the year the camera is an industrial vigil, hot and humid through the long summer.
