SnowWorld Zoetermeer, Piste 1

Piste 1 of SnowWorld Zoetermeer, a real snow slope under a roof near The Hague, on a live webcam all year.

About this view

SnowWorld Zoetermeer keeps real snow on a covered slope all year, on the edge of Zoetermeer just east of The Hague, and this live cam watches Piste 1. Skiers and snowboarders come off the lifts whatever the weather outside, in a country whose highest point on the mainland reaches only 322 metres.

The slopes were extended in 2016 and now give some 300 metres of steep skiing, with gradients of more than 20 degrees, which the resort calls the steepest indoor slope in Europe. The hall is kept below freezing and the snow is made on site, so the view has a rhythm of its own: lessons in the daytime, clubs and after-work skiers in the evening, and the grooming machines smoothing the piste once the lifts stop.

Zoetermeer keeps Central European Time, UTC+1, UTC+2 in summer. The slope runs all year, and it is at its busiest in the weeks before the winter holidays, when Dutch skiers come to find their legs before heading for the Alps.
