Tokyo Dome City

Tokyo Dome City from the top of its hotel: the Big Egg, its gates and the crowds on a live webcam.

About this view

From the top floor of the Tokyo Dome Hotel, this live cam looks down on Tokyo Dome City around Gate 22 of the stadium, day and night.

The Tokyo Dome opened in 1988 as Japan's first domed stadium, and its white air-supported roof earned it the nickname the Big Egg. It is the home ground of the Yomiuri Giants, the most successful club in Japanese baseball, and between games it fills for concerts and events; around it the complex packs in an amusement park, a spa, the hotel, shops and restaurants. On game and concert nights the crowd builds hours before the doors open and pours out again at the end, a tide of people heading for the stations at Suidōbashi and Kōrakuen.

Tokyo keeps Japan Standard Time, UTC+9, with no daylight saving, so an evening event here starts during the European morning. The baseball season runs from late March to October.
