Levi Ski Resort, Lapland

Snow, midnight sun or polar night on a live webcam, the slopes of Finland's biggest ski resort.

About this view

Zero Point is the base-station heart of Levi, Finland's largest ski resort, some 140 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle. The live webcam watches the slopes, the lifts and Lapland's extraordinary light do their thing across the seasons.

In deep winter the sun barely grazes the horizon: the polar-night blue hour lasts half the day, ski lights burn from early afternoon, and on clear evenings the aurora shows up over the fell like a scheduled act. The World Cup slalom opens the racing season here each November.

Finnish spring brings sunlit slopes past 9 pm; by June the same frame has no night at all. Watch at local midnight in midsummer for full daylight, one of the strangest sights Lapland offers.
