Jubilee Yacht Club, Dockside South
Boats alongside the south dock of the Jubilee Yacht Club in Beverly, Massachusetts, on a live webcam.
About this view
The south dock of the Jubilee Yacht Club is where boats come alongside to load, to pick up crews and to tie up for the evening, and this live cam watches it from the dockside, a second view at the same club.
The tide sets the scene here more than anything. Beverly Harbor sits where the Bass and Danvers rivers meet Salem Sound, and the water rises and falls about nine feet twice a day, so the floats ride high against the pilings at the top of the tide and drop well below the dock at the bottom. Dinghies shuttle between the dock and the moorings in the evening, when members head out after work.
Beverly keeps Eastern Time, UTC−5, UTC−4 in summer, so a summer evening at the dock falls in the European night. The boating season runs from June to September; in winter the floats are taken out of the water and the dock stands bare against the cold.
