A live webcam over Rozkoš, the reservoir beside Česká Skalice that the Czechs call the East Bohemian Sea, without much irony: at around 1,000 hectares of water it is the eighth largest in the country, built between 1961 and 1969 to hold back the floods of the Úpa and Metuje rivers and now the region's summer lake.
Sailing dinghies and windsurfers work the open water on any afternoon with a breeze, the beaches on the near shore fill with swimmers in July, and anglers hold the quiet corners at dawn. The water is flat enough that the weather does the rest: mist lying on it in autumn, ice edging in from the shore in a hard winter.
