A nest cam on a white stork nest built on a chimney in Hylváty, an industrial quarter of Ústí nad Orlicí, a town of some 14,000 in the Pardubice region of East Bohemia. Storks have nested on this chimney for years and the same pair comes back to it each spring; in 2025 the female laid four eggs by early April, and the local press follows the family like a soap opera.
The chimney gives an open view of everything a stork does: the repair of the nest with fresh sticks, the long incubation shifts, the chicks appearing as grey heads in May and standing tall by July, and the constant traffic of adults flying in with frogs and mice from the Orlice river meadows.
