Sea Otters, Monterey Bay

The Monterey Bay Aquarium's rescued sea otters are arguably the most charismatic animals on the internet, and this is their official live pool. Every otter here was stranded and rehabilitated. They groom, spin, wrestle and crack shellfish on their chests all day.

Feeding and training sessions (several times daily, Pacific time) are the high-energy windows; between them, expect synchronized napping, which is its own genre of content.

A live cam fact worth keeping: sea otters have the densest fur in the animal kingdom, up to a million hairs per square inch, which is why grooming takes up so much of their screen time.
