Koh Phangan's gentler west coast, live from the House of Sanskara beach club, with real stereo sound, so the wave-wash and beach-bar playlist come through. This is the island of the Full Moon Party showing its mellow, yoga-mat side.

Sunset is the daily headline: the west-facing beach points straight at it, and from about 5:30 pm Thai time the sky runs oranges into purples while longtails cross the glare. The stereo audio makes it pure relaxation.

Around each full moon, the island's population multiplies for the famous beach rave across the bay at Haad Rin; this live webcam stays on the quiet coast, which is rather the point.
