Sacré-Cœur, Montmartre
Above Paris on the artists' hill of Montmartre, a live webcam on the white basilica of the Sacré-Cœur.
About this view
The white domes of the Sacré-Cœur crown Montmartre, the highest point in Paris, a basilica gleaming in travertine that literally self-cleans in the rain, above the hill where Picasso and Renoir once paid rent in paintings.
The live webcam holds the classic view of the basilica floating over the city's rooftops. Around it, out of frame but present in spirit: the artists of Place du Tertre, the staircases of Amélie, and the vineyards that still make a few hundred bottles a year.
Paris light does the programming: pink dawns behind the domes, floodlit white against the night sky. Catch dusk (around 6–10 pm depending on season) when the city below switches on district by district.
