Hollywood Beach's Broadwalk is one of Florida's great promenades: two and a half miles of oceanfront path between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, shared by cyclists, joggers, rollerbladers and pelicans, with the Atlantic rolling in a few steps away.
This is the mellow side of Greater Miami: more families and snowbirds than nightclub queues. The live webcam catches the Broadwalk's steady parade against genuinely turquoise water, with cruise ships and cargo traffic tracking along the horizon toward Port Everglades.
Sunrise is the keeper here: the sun comes up over the Atlantic dead ahead of the camera, and the early joggers cast shadows a hundred metres long. Winter mornings are postcard-perfect nearly every day.
