Chengdu Panda Base

The Chengdu Research Base is the world's premier panda nursery: dozens of giant pandas across bamboo gardens on the city's edge, with HD cameras following the action around the clock.

This is the feed for panda density: keepers hauling bamboo by the barrow, sub-adults ambushing each other off climbing frames, and in autumn the nursery's newest cubs making their wobbly public debuts. The red pandas steal scenes too.

Pandas are most active in the cool of Chinese morning (7–11 am, UTC+8), evening in the Americas, breakfast time in Europe. Midday usually finds the cast asleep exactly where they finished eating.
