Norway Railway Cab Views
Fjords, snowfields and mountain plateaus from the driver's seat of a Norwegian train.

About this view
The driver's view along Norway's Bergen Line, the Oslo–Bergen crossing whose cab rides made "slow TV" a Norwegian art form. The cab view rides the route's fjords, forests and the treeless Hardangervidda plateau at 1,200 metres.
The route runs a season-machine: green valleys climb into snow within an hour, snow tunnels swallow the train on the plateau even in May, and the descent toward Bergen threads waterfall country. Winter runs are the legend: headlights boring through driving snow.
This ride is live from the past, and Norway time is CET. Daylight rides show the scenery; but the plateau crossings at dusk, signal lights strung across white nothing, are the meditative peak of the entire genre.
