About this view
Halfway between the highway and the old town, at the corner of Bow Valley Trail and Benchlands Trail, the clock tower of the Shops of Canmore looks along the road that carries most of the traffic into Canmore, and this live camera looks with it: the trail, the hotels and outfitters along it, and the peaks of the Bow Valley standing over everything.
The road is the town's working artery: ski racks in winter, bike racks and canoes in summer, the tour buses turning for Banff, the weather arriving over the Three Sisters and leaving again within the hour. The Shops themselves are cafés, gear stores and craft studios, busiest at the weekend.
