Fremont Street Experience
Old Vegas after dark on a live webcam: neon, free concerts and a four-block LED canopy over the crowd.
About this view
This is where Las Vegas began, a few kilometres north of the Strip: a covered pedestrian street lined with the original casinos, under a canopy screen 420 metres long carrying some 49 million LEDs. Since the 2019 upgrade it plays a light show on the hour, every hour after dark.
The crowd is the real show: bachelor parties, cover bands on three free stages, street performers claiming their patch of pavement, and zip-liners launching overhead from the SlotZilla tower. Between shows the canopy goes dark and the old neon takes the street back: the Golden Nugget, Binion's, signs that were lighting this block long before the Strip existed.
Nevada runs on Pacific time. The street fills from about 8 pm and stays loud past 2 am, weekends louder still. Come on the hour for the canopy show, or at 4 am, when this 24/7 webcam catches the strange calm of a city that never quite closes.
