Live Webcams in Maho Beach
Maho Beach, on the Dutch side of the island of Sint Maarten in the Caribbean, is the most famous planespotting beach in the world, and the live webcams in Sint Maarten have the spots to show why: the strip of sand at the end of the runway of Princess Juliana International, where sunbathers, beach bars and jets on final approach share the same few metres of air. The island keeps Atlantic Standard Time, UTC−4, with no daylight saving, so the arrivals are thickest in the early afternoon, around 16:00 to 20:00 UTC, when the flights from Europe and North America land in a run, and the biggest aircraft come in the winter season. The runway is some 2,300 metres long, which is why the approach is so low. December to April is the dry season; St Maarten and SXM are the names people type.
