Live Webcams in Sint Maarten
Sint Maarten's live webcams watch the most famous stretch of sand in aviation: Maho Beach, at the end of the runway of Princess Juliana airport, where arriving jets cross the beach at little more than 20 metres before touching down, and the fence behind the road is a wall of phones held up to the sky. The live webcams in Sint Maarten keep Atlantic Standard Time, UTC−4, with no daylight saving; the airliners from Europe and North America land in the early afternoon, roughly 16:00 to 20:00 UTC, when the beach is at its fullest. The runway measures some 2,300 metres, short enough that the big jets come in low and hard. St Maarten shares its island with French Saint-Martin, one of the smallest inhabited islands in the world divided between two countries. December to April is the high season, dry and busy; hurricane season runs June to November.
