El Valle de Antón, a small town inside the crater of an extinct volcano in central Panama, is one of the easiest places in Central America to watch tropical birds, and the live webcams in El Valle de Antón prove it: the fruit tables and feeders of the lodges on the crater's forested edge, where tanagers, honeycreepers, euphonias and the occasional toucan arrive to eat the bananas put out each morning. The crater is some six kilometres across, with cloud forest on its walls and the town at 600 metres, cool enough to draw the capital at weekends.
