Live Webcams in Cinque Terre

The Cinque Terre, five villages on the Ligurian coast of Italy, are photographed more than almost anywhere in the country, and the live webcams in the Cinque Terre give you the villages without the queue: painted houses stacked above tiny harbours, the sea breaking on the rocks below and the terraced vineyards climbing behind. The coast keeps Central European Time, UTC+1, UTC+2 in summer; the houses face the evening, so the hour before sunset, around 16:00 UTC in winter and 19:00 UTC in summer, is when the colours come alive, and a winter storm on the harbour is a show of its own. The dry-stone walls holding those terraces up are said to run to some 7,000 kilometres in total. May, June and September are the walking months; the Italians simply write 5 Terre.
