Live Webcams in Soberanía National Park

Soberanía National Park, the rainforest along the Panama Canal half an hour from Panama City, is one of the most accessible rich forests in the Americas, and the live webcams in Soberanía National Park show it at close range: the hummingbird feeders of the lodge terraces on the forested hills, where hummingbirds of a dozen species hover, chase and refuel a few centimetres away. The park keeps Eastern Standard Time, UTC−5, with no daylight saving, so the dawn rush at the feeders, the busiest of the day, falls around 11:00 UTC, and the light holds until about 23:00 UTC. The Pipeline Road through the park is a legend among birders: one Christmas bird count here recorded some 350 species in a single day. December to April, the dry season, brings the clearest mornings; Gamboa is the gateway town.
