Live Webcams in Scrub Island
Scrub Island, a private island a mile and a half off the eastern tip of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, is a single resort with a marina, and the live webcams in Scrub Island look out over that water: the masts in the marina, the ferry channel from Beef Island, and the Sir Francis Drake Channel beyond, one of the most sheltered sailing grounds anywhere in the Caribbean. Watching it live is a slow parade of yachts arriving and leaving. The island keeps Atlantic Standard Time, UTC−4, with no daylight saving, so the light is best from mid-morning to a sunset around 22:00 UTC. The resort opened in 2010, was wrecked by Hurricane Irma in 2017 and rebuilt, which is why everything on the island looks new. December to April is the sailing season; June to November is hurricane season, when the marina thins out.
