Live Webcams in Mladé Buky
Mladé Buky is a market town at the foot of the Krkonoše, the highest mountains in Czechia, a few kilometres from Trutnov in the northeast of Bohemia, and the live webcams in Mladé Buky look at the two things the town is known for: the white stork nests high over its roofs, and the slopes of a family ski resort under the ridge. The town keeps Central European Time, UTC+1, UTC+2 in summer, and its year turns on the birds and the snow: the storks arrive from Africa at the end of March, raise their chicks through May and June and leave in August, while the ski season runs from December to March with Sněžka, at 1,603 metres the country's highest summit, a short way north. Summer brings walkers heading into the national park. In Czech a stork nest is a čapí hnízdo.
