Live Webcams in Concepción

Concepción, the capital of the Biobío region, is the second urban area of Chile, some 500 kilometres south of Santiago where the Biobío river reaches the Pacific, and the live webcams in Concepción show a working city of the south: the squares and streets of the centre, the university campus and its park, and the river and the bridges across it. The city keeps UTC−4, UTC−3 in the southern summer from September to April; the evening rush falls around 21:00 UTC, and the long summer evenings run past 00:00 UTC. Founded in 1550, flattened by earthquakes in 1751, 1835, 1939 and 2010 and rebuilt each time, the city holds the third oldest university in Chile, and a million people live in the metro. December to March is the dry, bright season; the winter rain off the Pacific is the real thing. Chileans call it Conce.
