Live Webcams in Biot

Biot is a fortified hill village a few kilometres inland from Antibes on the Côte d'Azur, in the hills between Nice and Cannes, and the live webcams in Biot show the village the glassmakers made famous: the tiled roofs and narrow lanes of the old town from its towers, the square with its café terraces, the hills of the Alpes-Maritimes behind and the Mediterranean in the distance on a clear day. Biot keeps Central European Time, UTC+1, UTC+2 in summer; the lanes fill from late morning, the light on the roofs is best in the early morning and the hour before sunset, and the August afternoons empty the village until evening. The Verrerie de Biot invented its bubble glass in 1956, the Musée national Fernand Léger opened in 1960, and some 10,000 people live in the commune. April to June and September to October are the months to visit.
